Caddo 1125

There are football players who are used to playing both sides of the ball, but it’s rare to find a baseball player who plays three positions. Fort Cobb-Broxton sophomore Blayke Nunn does just that – first base, right field, and catcher.

“I started playing baseball in third grade,” Nunn said. “Hitting the ball was so fun to me. I watched MLB players on TV, and saw what they could do, and what they were doing made me want to get out there and play more.”

His baseball season has wrapped up for the fall, and Nunn said he thought the Mustangs did pretty well. He said he’s looking forward to spring ball, and wants to focus on hitting better as a team.

Nunn is a student at Caddo Kiowa Tech, and he’s taking Algebra II, Physics, and Pre-Engineering. He said he wants to use the tools he’s learning at Caddo Kiowa Tech to pursue a career in the medical field.

“I am excited to go there,” he said. “It gives me an opportunity to meet people outside my school, and it’s been a great experience for me. I have great teachers like Mr. Morgan and Mr. Allen.”

In his free time, Nunn said he enjoys working on hitting, going to the gym, and hanging out with friends. He said he’s very thankful for his family and the support the give him, as well as pushing him to be the best he can be.
