Duncan's Mason Imel – FFA Spotlight Presented by Oklahoma AgCredit
In his first year as a member of the FFA chapter at Duncan High School, Mason Imel is enjoying every opportunity to learn and be part of everything the FFA has to offer.
Not everyone in FFA shows animals. Imel is a perfect example of someone who is involved in other areas that FFA gives their members.
“While involved with FFA, I have learned what it means to work hard and work for what you want,” said Imel.
There are many things about FFA Imel enjoys, but the people are what he likes the most.
“I enjoy spending time with my friends and meeting new people who are involved in FFA,” said Imel.
As a student-athlete at Duncan High School, Imel is a member of the varsity basketball team and he belongs to other clubs whose goal is to help their fellow students.
“I play basketball for the Duncan Demons and I’m in SADD which is students against destructive decisions,” said Imel.
Imel is making plans for his future which will include college and pursuing a degree, but he has other options he is considering.
“I’m not sure exactly what I am going to do, but I would either like to go to Oklahoma State University and study agriculture or go to school to be a diesel mechanic,” said Imel.
Imel said anyone considering the FFA should get involved.
“You won’t regret it,” said Imel.
In his free time Imel enjoys playing basketball and video games.
