Corn Bible’s Brooklen Roberts – Character Counts Presented by Eagle Realty

Brooklen Roberts is a junior at Corn Bible Academy where she plays volleyball. On the court, Roberts is a setter/outside hitter thanks to her athleticism and ability to get over the net. As a member of the team, Roberts said she loves how they come together in one unified effort to compete and honor God.
“What I love about my team and teammates is the bond that we build up throughout the season. I love how we choose to trust and honor God through everything we do in practices and games,” said Roberts.
Returning to school and competing in sports was a big question mark during the summer, but Roberts and her teammates kept the faith and they were excited to have the opportunity to get back on the court.
“I was so excited to return to school because I missed having people involved with my everyday life. All my relationships felt distant because we didn’t get to see each other like we usually do during school and summer. I have never been more excited to return to the court because I love sports. Returning to the court for volleyball is my favorite part of the school year,” said Roberts.
Also active in basketball and softball, Roberts keeps a busy schedule on top of maintaining her grades. She also plays on a traveling basketball team in the summer.
Roberts said her coach on the volleyball team, coach Emily Dick, has been a huge influence on her.
“She has challenged me to do my best and to become better than yesterday. She’s always there for me through the good and bad no matter what it is. She’s always using Bible verses and Christian songs to help me make it through days that I need the Lord the most,” said Roberts.
After she graduates high school, Roberts would like to play college volleyball or be a coach and become a teacher.
